There’s something insideous about the fact that what women are saying (or not saying) does not matter as long as they’re naked.pepeyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06546384839562996642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654754338632526091.post-63495094357858551522018-12-22T16:57:40.922-08:002018-12-22T16:57:40.922-08:00hey, I'll go there! People can be strippers, or doctors, or actors pretending to be doctors or strippers or lawyers... and so on. They may be pretending that they're telling you all about the Siberian Railway, or Balinese something or other, but it's really the same-old-same-old - men (and women, sometimes for the same reasons, sometime for different reasons) like to look at pretty girls smiling into the camera and wearing more or less clothing... It's a solid selling point, works like a charm, but there really is not as much Siberian railway travelogue going on as they pretend.stone sealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08285111419079958362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654754338632526091.post-27827522548533416162018-12-22T14:04:42.995-08:002018-12-22T14:04:42.995-08:00I do not find this argument terribly convincing. Pursuing it strikes me as likely to devolve into a detailed and not very salient parsing of exactly what a stripper is, though.
amolitorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15743439184763617516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654754338632526091.post-26053874761426389812018-12-22T13:42:46.402-08:002018-12-22T13:42:46.402-08:00A famous female actor plays a stripper in a movie,...A famous female actor plays a stripper in a movie, which includes scenes in which she performs on stage topless. Some have made the case that the actor is not a “stripper”, but merely plays one as a role. Seems like that doesn’t work - a stripper is as a stripper does.

I have nothing against either strippers or this actor, by the way. Young, attractive women with channels covering a wide range of issues (and a lot of that content is as interesting and/or as good as the male-made content) that just so happens to feature minimally clothed segments that also just so happens to find it’s way into the thumbnail to draw traffic.pepeyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06546384839562996642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654754338632526091.post-27499335239068620942018-12-22T09:27:07.927-08:002018-12-22T09:27:07.927-08:00That is kind of an interesting piece. On the one hand they seem like typically prudish american christians being prudish, but I suspect also that they're sick of sex workers coming in for "personal" shoots and then turning around and using the pictures commercially.

But you're right, it does speak to the "use" of pictures in general, and of sexy pictures of women specifically. I suppose in an ideal or more ideal world we'd be able to explore our desires without as much worry. I think it has to do with a market economy as much as anything. Commodify everything and this is what you get.

http://www.citypages.com/arts/minneapolis-boudoir-studio-reserves-the-right-to-deny-service-to-lesbians-and-sex-workers/502961831?fbclid=IwAR0ExCsg9jtCBBJsvKKELkDAXzuxQI9V5eXamKzhEx5TCM8WgfDUJ_iw3NsJohn Krummhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269866890471924598noreply@blogger.com
