The End Of The Road
  Which Is Always Turning Back

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way

... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Bells on bob tail ring
Making spirits bright

O! What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon, Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side

The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
He got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot

... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Hey!

Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse open sleigh

  1. Genius. The true meaning of that infuriating song had never dawned on me before.

But those ICICLES!! Make sure you get plenty of shots of those. Together with the crow's wing, brrr...

    1. They're ravens! Smallish ones, I think. Fairly friendly, evidently they will eat food from your hand if you have something that's good enough and you're patient enough.

Naturally, I thought of you and took a bunch of photos.

I will explain the icicles in a few days when I get back from a Thing. It's not as eldritch as it looks!

    2. They will also eat your hand if you're dead enough... (e.g. you've taken a terminal tumble from your damned jingly sleigh).

  2. Wow, it's all there, isn't it? The stock market crash, the holes in the media coverage, Trump's ridiculous comb-over, and lurking everywhere that raven-clever virus. My percepts runneth over.

  3. These photos are so evocative of Minor White.

  4. Our local ravens love peanuts, blanched, roasted and unsalted.

  5. I'll be interested to see what you eventually make of this material, because the blogspot format does wretched things to it.
